"While the world changes, the cross stands firm."
—St. Bruno
"I wish not merely to be called a Christian, but also to be Christian."
—St. Ignatius of Antioch
We are honored to accompany you on your journey to an ever-deeper relationship with Jesus. Sometimes, as St. Ignatius of Antioch suggested above, we do things in order to be called Christian. Confirmation is often one of those “things.” It is what we do. We are Baptized, make our first (and regrettably, sometimes the last) confession, our first communion, and then it is time to be confirmed. It can all be very routine.
The Sacraments are beautiful gifts from God. They are very real encounters with Christ Jesus – whether or not it feels that way to us!
Confirmation preparation at The Holy Name of Jesus is a period of accompaniment. This is YOUR journey. That is why at The Holy Name of Jesus we have coined the term, "Your Journey Towards Confirmation." During this journey, you will walk alongside your peers, catechists and youth ministers as we dive deep into the beauty, truth, and goodness of our Catholic Christian faith.
Your journey will include the following five elements:
Award Winning Catechesis Programs through Ascension Press.
WOVEN High School Ministry nights.
One-on-One Spiritual accompaniment.
Service Opportunities based on the Corporal & Spiritual Works of Mercy.
Inspiring Retreats
Whole Family Catechesis
