Grief Support Sessions will be:
“The word goodbye—originally “God-be-with-ye” or “Go-with-God” – was a recognition that God was a significant part of the going… there was strength in remembering that the One who gave and cherished life would be there to protect and to console. Goodbye was a blessing of love.” (Praying our Goodbyes, Joyce Rupp, osm, p.17)
Grief Support provides a place for coming together in kinship -- in deep communion -- as we journey together in sorrow.
Grief Support groups meet at the parish and are led by parishioners. We strive to provide hope and strength for living through the grief journey by providing a safe environment for the expression of feelings and experiences, sharing with others who are also grieving, and helping paticipants to find meaning in their loss and grief to move toward reconciliation of their loss through our Catholic faith.
If you are hurting after losing a loved one, we hope that you will come to grief support and find strength in our community.
