We are a group of Catholics who have consecrated ourselves to Jesus Christ through devotion to Our Blessed Mother, the Virgin Mary.
Catholics do not worship or adore Mary; nor do we believe that she is God or "divine". We greatly honor Mary because it was through her that God took on human flesh and was born into this world. Mary's baby is the Son of God, Jesus Christ, fully divine and fully human. St. Louis de Montfort illustrates this belief in his writings: "The Holy Spirit speaks of Mary as the sanctuary of the Divinity." -Eddie Doherty, Wisdom's Fool - A biography of St. Louis de Montfort, p. 61
Thus, the Blessed Virgin Mary holds a unique and esteemable role in all of humanity:
Mary is the Mother of God.
Mary is also Jesus' first disciple. Through her example of humility and complete trust in God's will, she responded, "May it be done to me according to your word." -Gospel of Luke 1:38 She completely conformed all of her thoughts, words, and actions to God's will. Mary always points us to follow Jesus in all things, like she did at the Wedding in Cana, "Do whatever he tells you." -Gospel of John 2:5
Through guided prayer and spiritual reading, we consecrate ourselves and our will to Jesus Christ through Mary's example and intercession. We ask Mary to carry our prayers to Jesus on our behalf as we conform ourselves in all ways to God's will. If you would like to grow closer to Christ in this way, please contact us.
We pray the Rosary at 7:30am in the Olive Ave Church on the FIRST Saturday each month. This prayer time is open to everyone.
