Preparation for the Sacraments of First Eucharist and First Reconciliation is a two-year program traditionally beginning in the 1st grade and ending in the 2nd grade year with the reception of both sacraments. The first year students in the sacrament preparation program receive instruction on the religious education theme for their given grade level. Second year students receive instruction on both the topics of Reconciliation and Eucharist as well as continuous Catholic education for their grade level.
First Year Requirements:
Children preparing for the sacraments must attend all scheduled classes as well as the
Seasonal Family Liturgies.
Second Year Requirement:
Children in their second year of sacrament preparation must attend all scheduled
classes, the Seasonal Family Liturgies, and the First Communion Retreat with their
parents. Parents of children in this year of preparation for the sacraments are required
to attend all six parent education classes.
